When I went with CAT5 cable to CAT5e cables, then I got my gigabit connections. However I got lucky that I finally found this article on the webĪnd of course the solution in article worked for me as well. Well, my experience with the HP support was extremely frustrating over the last month. Does anyone know why Microsoft has released this driver with no gigabit capacity when the NIC card? Does anyone have a solution to my problem? The driver is published by Microsoft, and I have the latest version which is 2.1.0.7. So I think that the problem is with the driver. When I look into the speed and duplex settings for the NETWORK card, I don't see1000 not in option. My router is capable gigabit and I've confirmed that if I connect to another PC with a gigabit NIC that the PC connects to 1.0 GB so I know that the issue is not with my router. However, I get only a 100 mb connection to my router. There is a NETWORK adapter card compatible gigabit. I have a desktop PC of h9-1340 t HP Envy Phoenix that has a Qualcomm Atheros NIC AR8161. Atheros ar8161 driver missing setting gigabit
